well..
i couldn't not post about something that happened today..

i can't believe it..

i was sitting here in my office..
reviewing some bills that i have to pay..
everyone's got 'em..

and i noticed that the interest rate on my credit card was a bit higher than the average credit card..
last year sometime i payed a day late..
and they prolly took the opportunity to up it then..

anyway..
i called up the company..
and asked if my interest rate could be lowered..

well..
after a moment pause..
the guy came back on the line and said yep!
i'll go ahead and lower your interest rate to 0%!!!
(for 6 months)
it was crazy!!

i said thank you and hung up..
i was expecting a percent or maybe two..
but nothing like this!!

so.. all that to say..
it never hurts to ask!!

God willing.. i'll be able to pay the balance of this card down to 0 during the six months! and never have to worry about interest on this card again!!

1 year down.. 3 years to go..

1 class at a time is a slow way to get a master's degree..

but it's free.. and doesn't consume all my time.. just most.. who needs sleep anyway?

Well.. For those of you who may not know.. last year I wrote my own gadget for the iGoogle home page.

I spent lots of time on it, and even released an update to it 6 months ago..

But today.. (or yesterday I guess) I released version 2.0.. It's quite a feat for me really...

And I must say the release went quite well.. the update page has been viewed over 2000 times since late this afternoon.. and i've only had about 15 errors.. not bad if i say so myself..

it's a very handy gadget.. it gives you a list of the next upcoming birthdays or events.. and the data is all stored securly in a google spreadsheet.. there are many fun features.. but it's getting late and i need to go to bed an hour ago..

Well.. just like my wife said.. today is our anniversary.. so i'll post a bit o' history..

5 years ago today.. March 2003.. I was feverishly trying to graduate from Cedarville in 4 years.. knowing full well that I wasn't going to make it, and that I would require another year..

4 years ago today.. March 2004.. I had finished up Cedarville successfully.. becoming the first engineering student in Cedarville's history to complete such a feat (choose the 4 year plan, fail to graduate on time, and return to finish).. also.. I was in my first week of full time employment at my current job..

3 years ago today.. March 2005.. I had met Kelly.. dated.. gotten engaged.. and was ready to marry her.. I knew I would marry her after our first date. I sure did! I even told my roommate at the time the fact.. he of course told me I was crazy.. (which i am.. but what's wrong with that? I still got her to marry me!)

2 years ago today.. March 2006.. Kelly and I were in the emergency room with our 1 week old.. brand new parents scared to death by their tiny baby.. (she was fine by the way.. just a little gas.. but we had no idea.. ) And in that year.. Kelly and I had bought a house.. and moved in.. had a miscarriage.. got pregnant again.. had our daughter.. so much change in so little time.. for two people who have never really been that fond of change.. (especially me!)

1 year ago today.. March 2007.. honestly.. I can't remember what we were doing.. Kelly will have to remind me.. but in that time our little girl turned one and Kelly was pregnant with our son..

today.. March 2008.. how time flies.. now we have a two year old daughter.. a 7 month old son.. a house that still needs remodeling.. a minivan (no more small black sporty car for me)..

and i don't remember a time in my life that i was happier. God really has given Kelly and I an amazing life. and i do my best to thank Him for that and for Kelly every moment of every day..

i love you kelly.
